DEVCON
an Association for Rural Development is a registered NGO
established in 1998. We are base in district Badin –
costal belt in Sindh province of Pakistan.
Fighting for justice:
DEVCON believes that social, economic, and political
justice is fundamentally important for the holistic
development at community, national, and international
levels. Together with our partners that include local
communities, national, and international organizations, we
strive to aware and empower marginalized ones, so that
they can understand their rights and duties and fight for
a just society.
Helping
to access opportunities:
DEVCON, together with stakeholders, supports the target
communities to get a proper access to the social,
economic, and political opportunities that are vital for
improving their living standards. We have adopted a
strategy of integrating various initiatives in order to
give an impetus to the development of impoverished target
groups.
Empowering
people to hold governments/policymakers accountable:
DEVCON has a firm conviction that issues related to
education, health, poverty, basic amenities and other
development sectors can only be solved on sustainable
lines if they are made a part of political will and
mandate of the governments. To make this possible DEVCON
will continue to strive to aware and empower communities,
so that they can hold the government at various levels
accountable.
We have established our operational base in the costal
belt of Sindh because in this part the social and economic
indicators are worst than any other part of the country.
