Comprised of skilled volunteer Board and dedicated staff, DevCon has been
implementing a number of projects on Research and Development such as in education,
poverty alleviation, capacity building, and environment with various national
and international partners.
Recent Projects
CHAAON Children's Action Against
Oppression and Neglect: is a DevCo's
intervention with Save the Children
– Sweden in District Sanghar. The duration
of this project is 12 years in which
education, livelihood, child protection
and health of children will be focused
who are involved in cotton picking in
the district.
Future Interventions
DevCon
is seeking more partners
in resources in expanding its outreach
to District Thatta where it has already
initiated a number of feasibility studies.
Apart from this, DevCon has also initiated
restructuring itself which will ensure
teaming up with serious donors, partners
and efficient human resource.

related to education, health,
poverty, basic amenities and other
development sectors can only be
solved on sustainable lines if
they are made a part of political
will and mandate of the governments.

empower communities, so that they
can hold the government at various
levels accountable.
Fighting
for justice. DevCon
believes that social, economic,
and political justice is fundamentally
important for the holistic development
at community, national, and international
levels. Together with our partners
that include local communities,
national, and international organizations,
we strive to aware and empower
marginalized ones, so that they
can understand their rights and
duties and fight for a just society.
Helping
to access opportunities
DevCon, together with stakeholders,
supports the target communities
to get proper access to the social,
economic, and political opportunities
that are vital for improving their
living standards. We have adopted
a strategy of integrating various
initiatives in order to give an
impetus to the development of
impoverished target groups.
Our
Education Program Our
approach revolves around field research,
programme design and implementation.
First of all we conduct field research
such as baseline survey or Participatory
Situational Analysis (PSA) in any proposed
area and on the basis of the findings
we suggest model to donors and if agreed
by donors we submit a proposal for funding.
On the same lines we secured funding
of the above projects. Benefit of this
approach is suitable models in the lines
of needs and context of the area. Further
we capitalize our projects from experience
of other civil society organizations.
We develop Monitoring and Evaluation
Systems, project management guidelines
and manuals for our projects. We believe
in synergy and focused approach.
